Congratulations to Juan Rodriguez (Student Assistant at University Transportation Center for Railway Safety) for presenting on 05/14 at the Joint Rail Conference at University, in Columbia, SC. Juan’s presentation “Development of Rail Anchor Testing Through Literature Review of CWR Buckling Resistance Evaluation” summarizes rail resistance contribution studied by existing research and describes an experimental testing set up for anchor strength and resistance that was guided by this review.

There are also two posters presented at the Joint Rail Conference from the same University Transportation Center for Railway Safety project, presented by Teresa Salazar-Flores and Santana Gutierrez (both are Student Assistant at University Transportation Center for Railway Safety). The title of Teresa’s poster is “Development of Rail Anchor Testing Through Literature Review of CWR Buckling Resistance Evaluation”, and the title of Santana’s poster is “Design and Testing of Full-Scale Track Panel Push Test”.
